[iclayout]

I will be in this area in a few weeks. I ride both road and mountain. I'm looking for advice/suggestions on some rides in that area. I will need to rent a bike as I'm not bringing one. I'm relatively strong in both types of riding, but would not consider myself a hammerhead. Also if there is anybody in that area that would like to hook up to ride that would be great!

I'd avoid the crowded coast area. There are many small and beautiful (mountain-)roads north of Nice direction Tende, or, if you're a climbing freak go to Col de la Bonette / Restefond (highest Alpine pass, 2800 m) or the more western passes as indicated on my homepage (http://freenet-homepage.de/westalpen/index.html).
