I don't know if this is a repost but I thought I'd share:

Bah, that's lots of space! Where is the you tube link of the guy riding the rails of a suspension bridge?

BTW, what european country is that?... I vote for UK since the cars are parked on the left.

Actually when I read the headline, I was thinking the "hell of a bikelane" would be wider than the car traffic... ah well, this seems typical, if not a little funny. We don't have bike lanes on the edge of precipices, but some crazy ones that swing out into trafic at odd angles... you know lanes that will get you run over by a passing cement truck instead of just getting you wet.

The best ones are the green painted bikelanes that end on a cement abutment that were installed to force cars to zig-zag, you know, to reduce speed for safety. the problem is that it forces the bikes to zig into traffic.

OK, I'll stop ranting and let you have the thread back.

At least the painted cyclist-icon isn't on the water, but the computer could have done that, too. :D

I'd like to see a stenciled cyclist on the roof of a car...

Are you talking about the Lucas Brunelle video of him riding on the concrete barrier between two lanes of traffic on a bridge? If so, check out his website for the video: http://digave.com

If that's not what you're talking about, hopefully someone else knows where to find it on youtube

A lot of Kris Holm videos feature him riding across the tops of fences, handrails, and yes - I believe he rides the handrails on a suspension bridge in one of them -

All on a unicycle.

I'm headed to Amsterdam in three weeks. If anyone knows where this or wants to hunt for it on Google Earth I'll take a photo of me sitting in that "bike lane"

Asumming some sensible soul by now hasn't repainted it or extended the lane to the left more.

+1. Last fall I was riding down a newly finished section of US 30 in Western Ohio that wasn't open to vehicle traffic yet and had the whole thing to myself with a 20mph tailwind. That's fun.

The opening of the I-355 extension last fall near Chicago welcomes cyclists before cars.

Supposedly they want to make this an annual memorial day event.

There's also the Lake Shore Bike...lane here.
