$182.00? NOt enough. I wonder how much time the poor victim spent pursuing that fine against the driver. I wonder if the driver's insurance covered his injuries, since there wasn't a police investigation.

No, the fine isn't enough. No way. But can't the victim sue for damages? He was seriously injured, after all, and driver was responsible.

Glad she was brought in, but the fine is ridiculous. Getting your car out of the impound lot after it's been towed costs more than that. How about some points on her license, a higher fine and mandatory drug testing for the next couple years?

It's quite possible (likely) that the driver's insurance has already paid for the bicyclist's injuries. That has nothing to do with criminal charges.

The fine is the beginning. Now that she's plead no contest to the charges and admitted guilt, her insurance should roll right over and pay for all the hospital bills, new bike, lost time and wages, at the least.

$182 fine? That's would be okay for a minor fender bender between two cars, but out of line for a bike collision, would the fine be the same if she hit a ped?. Here in my home state, the fine for a motorist having just one light out (any exterior light) is $268 if an LEO decides to cite you instead of giving a warning.
