Introductions - Hello from Montana

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Hi all.
Started riding with the kids this spring and am now HOOKED!
Using cycling to battle diabetes with great results!
Entered my first mountain bike race on September 20, 2003. HUGE step outside of my comfort zone!
Training for my first CENTURY next May. The Diabetes Assn.'s Tour-de-Cure Missouri River Ride. (Great Falls, MT - Wolf Creek, MT & back).
Look forward to hearing from ya'll. (I am originally from Texas. Hence the "ya'll")
Regards,
Bob :D

Welcome to the forums! My better half is also diabetic. In addition to one small injection of insulin a day, she controls it with exercise (biking) as well.

Hi Gus! Thanks for the note! Glad to hear that the wife is doing well. My wife and I are both on oral meds. My last HA1C was down to 5.4 wich falls within the normal range!! YIPEEE!! I still have around 50 lbs to loose, so am still working hard at it.
Thanks and keep in touch!
