Well Ive got a pretty good idea of what parts im going to use to put my new bike together, Im doing sort of a budget build, sourcing parts from ebay etc. I was wonder on a few parts what you guys think or if what im doing sounds pretty good. Im not racing this thing or doing 15 ft drops so i dont need to best lightest stuff out there, its going to be heavy anyways from the frame i bought. but it goes as follows.
Frame: 05 k2 attack 2.0 w/ manitou s-type srl rear shock
Fork: rockshox revelation 426 w/ uturn
sram x7 shifters and rear delrailer, probably sram pg970 cassette
Not sure about my crankset yet, thinking truativ or raceface, something not out of this world
brakes: avid juicy 3s
For wheels im relaly up in the air about, not sure whats out there for a decent price
and also tires, I mean i read about some names here and there but id be taking a stab in the dark. I ride in a lot of sandy conditions because of florida, so maybe that would help.
And stem and handlebars ill decide , thinking easton ea30 stuff.

I think thats about it, any help would be appreciated. if something wont work point it out to me!

do a raceface crank

just look for some laced up wheelsets. you can't really go wrong. something with maybe Sun rhyno rim and i would try to pay a little bit more for DB spokes

juicy 3 is fine, i would verify if they are the same as older juicy 5. if they are a downgrade from past juicy 5, then i would go with either a current or older juicy 5

did that just make sense?

i recently read online that bb7's are making a come back. check into them as well.

There seems to be a lot of Sun rhynos laced to various Shimano hubs on pricepoint.com right now. I may end up with the Deore disc set for my build.

i will definitly look into those wheels. As for the juicy 3s, i think there the same. I can grab a set on ebay for 100 bucks, with levers and cables, front and rear, bb7s would cost me 100 just for the rotors and calipers. So that kinda made my decision
