Hi this is Dave, signed up today, used to train and race a little in late 80's with a white Cannondale.

A car accident put a damper on training hours. I did join IHVPA and got motivated to build a recumbent tricycle after seeing a show about British HPV'ers.

However a few years a go, a friend moved back in town and started motivating me to cycle more and after suffering on my GT RTS -3 I went into a shop to talk upgrade and fell in love with a Bianchi San Jose single speed...one of the most comfortable bikes I have ever ridden.

More riding led to me to buy a Soma Double Cross frame and outfitting with a bunch of vintage parts and most of my original Shimano 600 group off my 1986 Zunow. A Japanese made frame bought in Japan...now in the attic. Polished and cleaned parts work great.

Currently working on a new tadpole tricycle FWD recumbent with myself doing all the machining.

Dave

Love vintage Campy, hate carbon fiber and all the funky new frames.

Yes a Zunow, bought in a little japanese bike shop near Hiroshima in Jan 1986. I'll post some pics of the frame as I stripped most of the 600 group for the SOMA Double Cross.

Live in Florida near Cocoa beach.

Some of the Florida members should show up soon then :) .

Seriously, we love Zunow frames and those ever so gloriously exotic paint schemes :D .

I had this frame modified by Mary Pfeiffer when she was in Longwood, FL sometime in early 90's for cyclocross. Basically the cantilever bosses were brazed on.

I'd like to remove the bosses and redo the paint/chrome, but I want original decals back on.

As always, a beautiful paint job!

Get some advice from the C & V folks. I suspect they will tell you to leave the paint alone...but they'd love to see your photos anyway :D .
