Also, the Nats are providing free valet bike parking. Ride to the stadium and an attendant takes your bike and puts it in a locked area until you're ready to ride home.

I think it sounds ok, so long as it ia relatively safe and well supervised. Still, sounds like a job for a budget single speed bike, and not for a nice road bike.

Great news!

Anything to keep people on bikes.

For those that are concerned about your bikes, what's the issue? Perhaps you should ride a cheaper bike and increase your comfort level. I wouldn't ride a $3,000 bike to a game (if I had one) but I would gladly let a valet put any of my bikes in a coral.

Well my issue would be I don't want a whole bunch of bikes tossed on top of my Orbea, I don't mind wear and tear, but dents, cracks, scratches and broken parts I'd like to avoid.

I'd take my single speed bike there, but it doesn't have many parts, and a few scratches wouldn't hurt. Here where I live there is an entertainment complex that has bike valet, and it is a chain link cage, where bikes are at first stacked, then tossed into.

Agree with Darwin. There is NOTHING to complain about. If we advocate for more utilitarian cyclists, more trips by bike, and more cyclist accomodations then this is the logical extension.

An environment like this is a GOOD thing. Time to buy a beater?

I'd LOVE this.

I rode to a couple Nats games last season and locked my bike to a pole and to a barricade. I unclipped all the lights and seatbag and carried them with my helmet into the stadium. It was a little inconvenient carrying that stuff, but I always was unsure about the safety of the bike itself.

I really like the idea of handing off my bike, getting a numbered ticket, and knowing that I can retrieve it after the game. It felt sketchy enough at RFK, but I wouldn't go to the new stadium on my bike if I didn't have someplace safe for it. I have a feeling that there will be even more cyclists riding to games than in the past.

It's not about the price it's about the love.
