Hello All,
I have been hanging out here but never introduced myself.

Name: Ric Greene
Occ: Systems Analyst
Current Area: WI
Co Manager of Schwinn Collectors

Currently 62 bikes in my collection. Current favorites: 66 Schwinn Fastback, Mint 76 Schwinn Superior, 1972 Schwinn Paramount, 84 Trek 660 and 84 Schwinn Peleton. Almost complete on a 74 Falcon restore. Oh can't forget my 54 Schwinn Green Phantom.

Items I would currently love to find: Falcon San Remo, Condor, or a mint Trek 760. Can only dream of a Alex Singer.:D

Member of numerous bike forums.

Started riding as a lad in San Diego and been hooked ever since. Started with stingrays, migrated to BMX (and boards) and then road bikes. I was stuck on collecting the rays for a bit while still hitting the roads almost daily on my roadie. I guess deep down that is who I really am. If I can't ride it until it hurts it drives me crazy. On the Schwinn forum am known as Fastback Maniac. My love for Schwinn Fastbacks and my maniac behavior of having to ride the roads so much. Love hitting those back roads.

I have a few English 3 speeds in my stable as well.

Anyway, hope to be getting to know and meet some new bike fanatics. I have meet numerous individuals in this sport/hobby over the years.

Vote to help get Levi into the Tour de France if you haven't already. Congrats Levi on Tour of California.

Sheldon you will always be in our memories....

Hi Ric! Nice to have you finally give us a description of you and your collecting habits.

I thought I was bad with my 12 bikes :D !

You know there's a lot of fellow Schwinn collectors in C & V, so I'll see you there.

Welcome (finally) to BF!

:D But in a Great Way! Doood - you have a bunch of bikes there! Welcome aboard, there's something for everybody here!

A couple years ago, when I traveled down a popular street in the city here - there was a guy who had sometimes 20 bicycles out on his lawn for sale - at least 4 or more of them were the old Schwinn cruiser style with headlight and key, etc. Never really took a close look at them until then ... cool bikes. He said those for sale were just some of them, said he traveled to different shows with his other bikes, etc. He must have moved because I don't see him anymore. Nice bikes though!

GRRR and East Hill beat me while I was editing!! Pink carbon star <growl> - :D

Just playing as fan of UK bikes. I am in WI by way of CA. My ancestors were McMullens if that counts.
So I have the blood in my veins.

Cheers Mate,
