I've been eyeing it, but I don't know if it will work for me based on reviews I have read. If anyone has any experiences to share, I would appreciate it.

Personally... unless you already know you LOVE SDG saddles I would steer clear as there's no way to put another manufacturer's saddle on this post. Given the reviews, I'd steer clear. Rails are your friend, the flex and give at least somewhat of a suspension effect I'd be very surprised if the I-beam saddles were as comfortable. I'd also guess that SDG will give up on this design within 2 years as the industry has a standard that seems to be working pretty well. Get something solid and well known, Thomson, Salsa, Nitto, with whatever saddle you find comfortable.

love the weight loss.
possibly all seatposts should be beams, remember before V brakes.
I had a seatpost fail once, wounder about the long term fatigue.I had a minor accident due to a fatigued alloy clamp.plastic V alloy long term?

Hmmmm, just took a look at them. I think I stay with my Thomson seat post and Specialized saddle.
