Well, this week has been like an early birthday
Bike rack,
Thomson Seat post
Hyrdra Pack
and a gift from a friend, a multi-tool (it was on sale for like 5 bucks, why not?)

Yes, I modified my bike rack to use a normal locking hitch pin. Didn't want to buy the 40.00 thule pin.
I didn't have proper sized bits/tools, so I got creative and cut the inner nut off, and drilled out sections, and hand filed it back roundish. It works. The cardboard and tape thing on the end is just so it doesnt wobble and freak my mother out.
:p

Fugry. He should get a seat to go with his nice shiny seatpost.

Also, perhaps I'm wrong, but didn't a want a new one anyway? Cool stuff anyway, I hope he enjoys it!

Edit- Are those disc brake mounts on the fork?

Cheeto

EVentually I get one that is a bit more comfy, but the angle variety with this post has made this seat feel better.
My old seat post bent the rails, I had to grab a clamp and queeze them in again.

Yes, Indeed they are disk brake mounts.

Next on my upgrade list is a pair of clipless pedals and shoes.

Can't wait to ride a trail, and not worry about my seat getting loose/ falling off.
The best part is, my multi tool's hex wrench actually works with the screws on the Thomson. The Bontrager was a bigger size that nothing fit.

Care if I quote myself? I'm very concerned with how a bike rides, but aesthetics are important when you can get them without a compromise.

No. I wear tight pants with light blue jersey's. There is no way I can truthfully say I look good on my bike.

That aside, what's wrong with making my bike look good? Selle Italia and Selle San Marco saddles always fit my rump perfectly, so I put them on all of my bikes. They have great aesthetics, put more importantly are comfortable and pretty light as well. Why can't I enjoy my saddle?

In a totally normal way. Just so no one tries anything witty.....

I stress looks, but after performance. Back OT, Cheeto could probably get a lighter saddle with a better fit, AND better looks as well. I see no harm in him buying a new saddle when he gets the money. (After clipless pedals.....)

Also, I decided I am a poseur. I broke a nail. :D

You see, my argument holds no ground in this day and age. Either ignore my age or tell me you're inferior.
Now say touché.

Hell, I can care less about what some anonymous avatar on the internet says about me. It's just slightly disheartening to see that there are still people who truly beleive that a child should have no say in anything.

Also, you're not sorry. You can attempt that one later as well.

EDIT- I've looked at some of you're posts. All of them portray you as a sadistic prick who has nothing better to do but act contrary in all ways possible, or involve VERY dry humor that a 14-year old (I) could have dreamt up. I mean, I'm in no way perfect or hilarious, but at least I have some tolerance before I decide to be a smart-ass. Based on what I've seen, you're the same ass who spits out "witty" anecdotes at cocktail parties and pronounces "mature" "muht-ure" to sound intelligent. let me tell you a quick story. i've told it a couple times on this forum before, but i don't think you were around for any of them Cheeto. So it was a beautiful fall friday. i just got done with class and was super excited for the weekend. sweet string band was playing that night at a cool bar, had a hot date planned for me and my gf (one of first few dates), and just generally was in a really good mood. So i jump on my bike and start riding home from campus. the suns shining, birds are singing, winds a breezing and its a nice 65 degrees. all is well in the world. i turn on to my street. lean way back on my saddle, pinch it with my legs, take my hands off the bars and pretend to fly. i make some nice slow leany turns and am just generally stoked on such a great day and such a great bike ride home. anyways, all the while amidst my happiness my seatpost decides to break. my saddle comes loose and i fall hard onto my nuts pinching them between my ass and my tire. long story short, i ended up having my balls sonagramed by some old lady to make sure they weren't fractured. now i only buy bomber seatposts. i even have a thomson on my commuter! enjoy the confidence inspiring strength of the thomson and enjoy tearing up the trails!

You guys all have a log up your ass. This is an internet forum, and you guys are all taking yourselves WAY to seriously. I obviously have committed the egregious act of suggesting a new saddle, which is why you all felt the need to attack me.

So what if I'm a punk kid who's digging a whole for himself? Let me keep digging my whole and eventually it'll collapse on me. Rankin has the right idea, just chill.

I do however, respect your opinions, even if I may disagree with them. Although WTP hates me, I still respect him.

And in continuing my hole, I was expecting Runtnick or whatever his name is to provide a more hilarious or witty rebuttal. C'mon, you take some you give some. As a side note, my ass will be paying for your Social Security later.
