BFNIC members. Weather forecast for Sunday is for a high of 50 degrees with a 50% chance of rain. Good enough to make me think about riding outside? Anyone else thinking what I'm thinking? Psimet, cylowe??

Wife is working all weekend so I have solo parental responsibility (bwahahahahaha - poor kid)....but Nana is back in town after having been gone for about a month and missing her grandson fix.....

I was going to ask her to babysit so I could ride tomorrow, but figured timing would dictate it be Sunday....I am conditionally in depending on her response.

Now....which bike to ride.....

I still say cross bike so that when I am sucking wind and you all have to wait at every stop sign for me I can say, "it was the knobbies" :o

Voldemort....this would be a great chance to pick up the rig. Noticed last night that the bar tape I wrapped had a tape off issue that I need to fix (I friggin hate taping bars).

Nana put the ixnay on it....unless I drive him down to Aurora and drop him off. I'm not organizing this one, but might be able to attend if something is put together in relatively short order that will allow me the time in transport.

Psimet, I need to get my bike. We both need a chance to get out. I'm halfway to Aurora from your place. I'll call you Sun. mid-late morning once it starts warming up and maybe we can figure something out.

At this point I think I'm out unless it's after 4. Gotta an errand to run and then the big guy is out for a nap until 3-4.

+1 - That wind doesn't go away. You're going to have it for the next few months, and you don't become more capable of handling it by staying inside. HTFU ;)

I rode 30 on Sunday and 44 on Saturday. I had to ride in the morning yesterday because of a funeral in the afternoon. Completely unbelievable too! The guy was the strongest regular rider in our saturday morning club rides and he died of a heart attack at age 36. :(

So after putting that kind of a downer on the thread. Who's up for a ride next Sunday?

I mentioned this to psimet a few weeks ago. I would like to organize a ride half between you guys and Cleveland. I have 4 or 5 members here who I think would take part. What do you all think? Halfway would still be a 4 hour drive. Any intrest for later in the season?

Organize it and they will come.

Just check the BFNIC Ride Schedule sticky thread first. :)

50 miles on Sunday, rollers on Saturday.
Barely made it back home on Sunday as I didn't bring any food with me on my ride. D'oh

I'm probably in depending on the timing, but I don't think I can organize anything other than some logistics.

BTW 4 hr drive for me would just make it across the border into IN....;)

I still think maybe around 69 80/90 intersection. Somewhere along the Angola, IN to Coldwater, MI range. Looks like there's a lot of lakes through the area which will make for some good viewing when there is no hills.

On Topic - still a little upset I couldn't get out for the ride, but I am actually starting to really enjoy spending time with my son so my disappointment is rather small.

I say we keep this thread going for this weekend. Can't ride Saturday mid-day, but morning or Sudnay look like they're fair game....
