Hi,

I just stumbled across this site and love getting advice from the threads so far :)

I'm a woman biker from the midewest currently living in Milwaukee. I've been riding since 12, commuting to high school, in Gurnee, IL....yes the traffic is insane there and there are no sidewalks.

Now I just started winter biking with a mountain bike (picked like the worst winter in 10 years too ;) ), starting to get back into mountain biking (just brought a Kona 29er that's being built), and have a old Releigh Road Bike from the local collective here. Currently I'm missing my road bike like crazy with the winter snow and what not.

So that's me, thanks for providing such a great resource! It's been great for winter biking tips so far

Hello Carolyn, do you sew cycling clothing? And what Raleigh have you got? We'll probably need photos of the Raleigh in Classic & Vintage. There are a lot of admirers of Raleigh bicycles in C & V :) .

Are you out riding? We do have a Winter Cycling forum here...

Welcome to BF!

Welcome my fellow Wisconsinite...

Today wasn't a bad day for riding though a bit wet. Better weather forecast for this weekend.

Outside Madison, soon to be Green Bay. I have two brother would live in Milwaukee and bike picking is good in that area. Madison is picking up on Craigs.
