Record 74F but quite windy, 18F and snow tomorrow
Got a nice ride in - at least going north.
Coming back into a very strong south wind provided a tough ride.
Snow starting at midnight, several inches tomorrow, 18F predicted for tomorrow night.
I swam for an hour this am, then rode for 1.5 hours this pm.
Anyone else get out today?

Nope. My mileage for February was 2.5, on Thursday. It was about 8F and sunny, so I decided to cycle to the library. It was actually a very nice day for a short ride. The roads have been in horrible shape all month as we broke the all time record for February snow.

41 miles on all flat road. Winds 2 to 5 mph. Sunny 78*
Had the old nishiki moving 20 mph with no problems.
Nope, not here in sunny southern CA. It rained or drizzled all day. The forecast for tomorrow is sunny and windy. Not the best weekend for test-riding bikes.
The weather was really nice in Northern California. Got out for a short ride with a friend who just bought her first bike as an adult: The Trek Navigator. She and her husband bought their bikes recently after seeing how much fun my husband and I are having. It's really nice to have another riding buddy! But I think I'll bring my hybrid on my rides with her going forward. The Ruby wants to zoom. The two Treks can bond. :)
Hope our good weather moves south for Yen's test ride.

Hit the MUP trail and toted up 20 very slow miles. The first half was into the teeth of a 30 mph breeze and with lots of mud and kitty litter-like conditions. The second half was with the wind, and the mud didn't even hurt with all that tailwind:D
The overall time/avg. speed was the worst I have ever done on this trail. Where oh where are the paved trails?

Mid to high 60's here today. Lotsa wind, 14 to 21 with gusts to 27. 63 miles today, half of which was uphill and into the wind:eek:
We're supposed to have snow or some other form of demonic solid white precipitation sometime on Monday:(
Make hay while the sun shines.

We should have. :(
Yen's rain was our forecast. I worked in the morning and into the afternoon. By the time I got home it was too late for anything over 15 miles. Since I'm riding a 48 mi. road race tomorrow, we opted to run errands instead.
Rats. :( I've missed 4 of 5 tew-tally awesome days to ride this week. I need to make some changes.

It was a great Saturday here, rode 20 miles in sunny, 55-60 temps. Perfect conditions for riding. I should have gone 40.

I'll trade you two 28's for a 74 and an 18.
