My wife and I decided last night that we should go camping this weekend. We've been debating back and forth as to where exactly. She wants to go to Pisgah Nat'l Forest, or to Boone, NC.
Personally, I was thinking of staying in North Georgia. Maybe up near Helen and ride the trails at Unicoi State Park.
I/we are open to suggestions recommendations. Plus, if anyone wants to join us, that'd be cool to meet for some riding!
Here's some info to help narrow down the choices. My wife's still sick, so her energy level is low, so she won't be doing any riding, but I still will want to hit some decent trails. We'll probably bring her bike and my son's three wheeler to ride around some "easy" trails, or the campground area. We may also bring my single speed so I can mount a rack and the boy's child seat for some off-road trails with him (he's 3-1/2).
Tent Camping. Primative Camping is o.k.! (my wife has been know to "go" in the woods without complaining! - Me too!)
We live in FL, so Atlanta is an 8-hour drive. Pisgah is closer to 11-hours, so anywhere in between will work!
Oh yeah, we'll be bringing our dog, so we need a place that allows pets.
We'll need something to do during the day, like visit some cool places, some light hiking, would love to see some waterfalls.
Last thing, do you know if reservations for Tent Camping are required?
