Touring - ? for the ladies: which Brooks saddle?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Just got a jamis aurora for my daughter; her first (fairly) decent bike. i'm qualified to make decisions on which accessories to add and which parts to swap, except for the saddle. i've been riding brooks for decades, but being a guy, i think i'll leave this one up to the general concensus of the gals here. my daughter's 15 with a fairly athletic build. any input would be appreciated. tia

I've been riding on a Brooks Professional saddle for many years (I decided the B-17 was too wide for my slim build). However, I don't recommend these to someone who can't choose it themselves because it's not ideal for everyone's butt and they take so long to break in. BTW, my new touring and road bikes have a the comfortable Selle Italia Gel Flow Lady saddle. Can you let you daughter choose the saddle herself? Perhaps the bike shop can let her try the bike with various saddles on a trainer at the shop.

B68 - wonderful saddle. Same top as the B66, except with a single rail so if works with a modern seatpost.

My daughter rides a Men's Pro. She's not necessarily narrow hipped either. She rides that one because I didn't like the width myself. I much prefer the B17 narrow.

My girlfriend prefers the men's B-17 standard.
my, my! b-17? i guess gender specific saddle hype is no different than any other hype. maybe i'll swap saddles with her and see how see likes riding mine for a bit. thanks all
My wife has been using the sprung Champion Flyer "S" and has been very happy with it. Did not need to break it in.
