I decided to get back into wheel building as a side job, but since it has been 6 years since I've had a customer (other than myself) I thought I'd kick things off by offering free labor to the first 3 customers. In exchange, I'd like them to write an honest review of my builds for me to possibly use as a testimonial.

First, my qualifications:
- Taught by 1976 Olympic Team member and USCF official Bill Murphy
- Built over 100 wheels to date (since 1994)
- Experience with various patterns and applications (road, track, mtb)
- Built for personal customers, teammates, family, and Wheel World (www.wheelworld.com) bike shop
- Many of my wheels built in the 90's are still on the road and have yet to need truing
- Guaranteed not to go out of true or break a spoke under normal use in 3 years or I'll fix it free*
*I will not do builds that I think are risky, i.e. 16 spoke rear for a clyde sprinter

Now, the conditions:
- You get the parts to me somehow
- I build them within 1 week of receiving them (no long waiting lists!)
- I ship them back to you (you pay the shipping costs) or you pick them up (free)
- Labor rates after the free customers will be only $20 per wheel

I'll be calling my service Ridgeback Wheels, named after our family pet Indy, who is the sweetest Rhodesian Ridgeback rescue dog I have ever met. Besides, it sounds catchier than "wheels by Brian" which I used to use :D

Send inquiries via PM or email ridgebackwheels@yahoo.com

I will also true ($5) or rebuild ($25) existing wheels if anyone wants those services.

However long it takes to get three people. If you're serious, shoot me a PM and let me know when you expect the parts and I can hold your spot if it's not unreasonable.

Even after the free ones, $20 is a very competitive rate, especially since I take my time and am very careful. I'm doing this mostly as a hobby, and second as a source of income to put towards bike parts without my wife whining :D

All three spots are pending now. Thanks for looking, and check back for the three lucky guys posting on their (hopefully) positive reviews.
