Hey,

I'm new to the sport, actually I'm not even new yet. I was wondering if this was a peice-o-crap bike or if it is okay for a begginer.
Any and all input is appreciated.

http://www.jeepbikes.com/topside.htmlIt's a safe bet that if it's branded by a company that makes motor vehicles (ie: Jeep or Honda) it's garbage. That said, your bike should last about six months tops before it breaks or rusts out. I'd look into getting something with a Cro-moly steel alloy frame instead of the Hi-Ten ( otherwise known as High Tensile) steel. What you've got there is just another X-mart P.O.S. painted up with a car company logo. Your best bet is to return it or wreck it and get something like a Haro Backtrail - inexpensive yes but a solid bike to start out with.

Thanks a lot! I don't want to buy a bike like that. Could you type in a link were I could look at one of these?

Hate to say it, but Dain just dumped up a thread from 2003. Could someone please lock this?
