I can't find the Pandora post, but I have a question for you users. I can't seem to stop it by deleting the tab (Camino, Mac Tiger). It just hangs the browser and then I have to do a forced quit and reopen the browser to use the browser at all. Anyone have this problem and find a solution?

From the tab that's running Pandora, hit the Home button?

Thanks for the reminder about Pandora. Just picked up a better pair of computer speakers and I'm trying them out on Pandora ... listening to "Sound Chaser" from the Yes "Relayer" album. Saw them play this live in 1974.

The "training" you give to Pandora seems to work. I had to veto a lot of songs early on, now almost never. "Won't Get Fooled Again" by The Who playing now.

My hard drive crashed (I had everything backed up), but I had to restart Pandora. It was a good exercise to fine-tune my station. The music was getting a bit too far afield.

Nope. But I use Safari.

Sorry DG, but I don't think I understand the problem you're having. I've had good luck with Pandora other than I have to keep reminding it that I don't want to listen to Ella Fitzgerald. Glenn Miller, A String of Pearls on now.

I wrote to Pandora, and they told me they don't support my browser. I have to use Safari instead. I'm trying that now.

I've had better luck with Firefox on a Mac than I have with Safari.
:o I don't consider myself a Luddite, really, but until this post, I never heard of Pandora. I'm checking it out now.
Hey, I just created Shawn Colvin radio! How cool is that? Thanks, DG!!!

I agree. Since the original post (that DG was looking for), Pandora is all I've listened to.

I'm not sure, but I don't think Pandora makes a Luddite station. :D

I think you can make that station:

That would really make a nice name for a band: Luddites in Spandex

For you pandora fans. Don't ask me how this all works as my computer geek son set it up for me. Google pandoras jar. This program allows you to save any or all of what you hear on pandora as mp3's. you can have it save everything or what I do is any time during a song you click on this bar thing and it saves it. Then the problem becomes when do you listen to it all when you can get new stuff all the time.

This can't be legal, can it? I can't keep up with the laws. Sounds like a fantastic idea!!

It seems it would be like recording off radio, since unlike the good old days of Napster you can't go after a specific song. you get whatever comes. All I know is you get music you like without commercials and you can save it.
