Il Bruto and I are going to ride for PHO (pronounced FOE because that's how I say it) on Saturday, 3/8. I don't have all the details but here is what I know:


Route: Alhambra to La Tuna, climb and back
Meet: 8:00am Alhambra Park (500 N. Palm Ave., Alhambra - northwest corner)
Depart: 8:15am
Tempo: Guitar
Miles: Approx. 30
Elevation gain: TBD, but expect climbing, rollers and full climb up La Tuna
Stops: At least one just prior to La Tuna for a refueling
Lunch: Noodle Planet located at 700 W. Valley Blvd, Alhambra, CA 91803-3231.

Route slip: Will be passed out at the ride start

This is a NO DROP ride. I will be going at a more relaxed pace on the climbs, so if anyone has wanted to come on out for a climbing ride that isn't too much distance but feared being dropped, you will not be. We will also, as usual, regroup. But anyone who wants to climb with me, is welcome to and I ain't fast. :)

Oh, I LOVE Lemongrass, but not the Pho...those shrimp steamed spring rolls with the peanut sauce. OMG, they are so yummy! I also really like the waitresses there. Such nice gals. I eat there all the time.

I'm doing pretty darn good! I did the Blossom Ride Saturday and had an overall time of 4:03 and a ride time of 3:53. It was 66.7 miles with 2,421' of climbing and 2 rest stops. I went out with some friends Sunday and did a 76.5 mile course with 1,780' in 4:20. Looking forward to the Solvang Double in a few weeks and then Hemet, don't say it. You need to come up to Bakersfield some weekend and we'll go riding, oh boy now there's a destination point.
