Registration is now open @ www.kride.org !

Katelynn’s Ride was started in 2001 as a way to support the Jimmy Fund of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and honor the memory of Katelynn Battista of West Springfield, MA who lost her fight to cancer at age eleven.

Last year the event raised $175,000 and brought the total contribution from Katelyn up to $915,000. This is the year that we will break $1,000,000 mark in total contributions since 2001!

There are rides for all levels, you can do 10, 25, 50 or 100 miles. There is a minimum fundraising requirement of $300, but it is well worth it! I've done this for 2 years now and encourage anyone in the area to come ride.

I'm in,
This ride is in it's 8th year, I have done the first 5 (100 mi ea.)
volunteered one year and had other commitments last year
but now I am back,
This ride is run well, supported well and takes in some very nice scenery
in western MA and the Conn. river valley.
Please consider this one, it is for a very good cause.

I checked out the website and couldn't see anything to indicate that this is a supported right. Am I right about that?

It is a supported ride, have no fear about that :)

I did this one a couple years ago. I'd be happy to do it again this year, but with the fundraising requirements of the PMC, I don't feel comfortable asking for more money for another ride. But Katlyn's ride is a nice one, throught some nice country. Actually, I use about 42 miles out of the 50 mile route as my training route. They do a great job running it, and have a nice after-ride party to boot!
