hey guys,

other than axiom and titec, are there any other companies that make these seatposts? i've been searching company websites checking out their product lineups and i haven't really been able to find much.

also, these seatposts seem like a great idea for bikes like my fluid that have interupted seat tubes, but have you guys heard of people having problems with them? i.e., are they strong? do they have issues with snapping and stuff like that? (someone had asked me about it, that's why i'm asking).

thanks in advance.

They are strong (ok strong) but creak like a banshee...I didn't particularily like it but it did the job I needed it to. Axiom and Titec are it though, as far as I know.

North Shore Praxy's makes one.

I've got one on my Banshee Scream. I've never had a problem with it. Just clamp it down hard, and it's perfect.

But then again, I don't sit down very much...

Wait a minute Maelstrom. That's not quite accurate, they only creak if they aren't greased well. Grease 'em up real well and the creak goes away, then your seatpost just slips and spins no matter how hard you tighten your clamp :D

Still, if you have an interupted seatpost bike I like it better than having a regular post that doesn't have enough height adjustment for me to ride down and pedal up so I put up with it's quirks.

Welcome to bikeforums Crashing :)...good to see you here. As for the creaking, I posted that before I (you) greased the seatpost.
