A quick search on Google brought up this page as the first result:
http://www.saccycle.com/clubs.htm

Looks like a good page to find out about local clubs.

There seem to be quite a few of us "Valley" people here on BF, but about 100% of the rides occur in the bay. I guess I'll have to be the one to organize some "Valley BF" rides since no one else has risen to take the challenge.
Welcome Murdaki. I live in Elk Grove and work in Sacratomato. I've been back on the bike almost a year too. I joined the Sacramento Oldmen, err I mean Wheelmen back in October. :D Most of the members are over 50 but it's a nice tight group of riders. They're starting Monday and Thursday after work training rides next week. I'm going to try doing the Thursdays. They will help you hone your paceline/peleton skills.

Let's start a list of Sacramento area BFers...
Redspoke (me, Chris)
Caloso (him also Chris)
Nachomc (him Matt)
Umm. Drawing a blank after that... Please join in.

I'm definitely going to organize a Sacramento BF ride sometime soon before the Century season is full-tilt-boogie. Maybe we can get some Bay Area people up here too? Stay tuned.

Hey, if we have to drive all the way out to the Bay area for rides, it's only fair that some of the Bay area folks have to drive up here once in a while. ;)

I'd be up for it. How about a something in or around Stockton (so I can visit my parent too :) )?

Anytime you're going to be in Stocktontucky, give me a shout. Plenty of riding here in the flatlands or east in the hills. Oh, and the WAR* rides are about to start soon.

BR

*Wednesday Afternoon Ride: A phenomenon that usually starts after daylight savings time begins. Pelaton can get lively with members of Delta Velo, Stocktontucky Bike Club, and non members alike. All are welcome. We have several folks that come down from Sacto to do this ride.

Do you have a link for more info on the WAR ride? Start location, etc..

I'm all for driving out for a ride. The one time I did a ride out in Auburn, it was fantastic. I loved it. I'm not in any shape for it now, but when I did it, it was fantastic. Amazing views. All it takes is someone to step up to the plate, and lead it.

If you post, they will come. I found that out on my Labor Day ride last year. Great turnout.

No link. Rides start at Bear Creek High School (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=bear+creek+high+school&ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&sa=N&tab=wl) around 5:00. 5:30 as the days grow longer.

I'll keep you posted.
