Awesome!! We will be wearing our green and white, sport & spine kit. White tandem. Flag us down and say Hi :)
Any others??
This looks like a lot of fun. I have 0 experience in this type of thing, so look for the guy who gasses out in the first mile. <-- That will be me!!
I have to check with the commandant of the household before I reg, otherwise I'll probably do it in either the NorCal kit, or my Livestrong kit, since I'll be riding for my dad.
Thanks for posting this up, looks like fun :)

It is actually a lot of fun. Register on the Eddy Mercx if you are riding a regular bike-no aero bars, special time trial wheels, etc.
We will keep an eye out for you :D
I'm glad they have that category, the wife comes home Tues night, so I should be signed by up wed. morning.. I wouldn't have seen that otherwise so thx :)!
Riders leave with 1min. intervals? <-- I guess my goal should be try not to get passed up..

I'll be doing Merckx class.
I need to get a shorter stem to swap out to get proper positioning with clip-on aero bars.
I figured I can do that next time around :)
I'll be riding to the start from San Mateo, I am wondering if I should bring the rollers to stay warmed up, or if the ride to the start will be sufficient (Alameda de las Pulgas -> Crystal Springs -> Skyline -> 92 -> Caņada)
EDIT: Also, in regards to water. I am thinking no watter bottle, just properly hydrate prior to the start.

Pizza you should have to use a uni-cycle.

Ty.s- just go about 90% on the way out and 95% on the way back, you will probably get passed, there are some very fast riders
Uspspro-The total time will be around 20-30 minutes depending on your speed. We will hydrate on the trainer and stay warm right up until the start. We will not take any water with us.

This does sound like fun. I think I'll do a test run this week and if my times are in the ballpark, I may sign up too.

We're registered. I'm out of shape and short on training but it is a good place to start and see where I am. Looking forward to the ride.

Great to see the interest building.
Sesame-you just do what you can. There are quite a few of these through out the year so you can see your improvement.
It is also well run and for a good cause :D
Last year we did a real nice ride with Hermes and Velodiva after. Unfortunately this time we can't do a after race ride :(
It will be great to see all you guys!! Remember to stop and say Hi to us. We are easy to spot-white tandem, green and white kit.
Uspspro-I am going to bring a water bottle half full

I'm trying to picture a unicycle with a disc wheel and aerobars. :D
I took a test ride on the route today, as of right now the competition for DFL starts and ends with me. I have yet to sign up, and I think I'll take one more run before I make the decision.

Hey, that's only 'cause I haven't test-run yet :o,
I think it is great that a number of new people are considering and doing the TT. Velodiva and I did four last year and had a lot of fun. The events in this series are designed to allow riders to test equipment, challenge themselves and train for upcoming events that usually occur the next week. For example, this TT was supposed to be the week before the Berkeley Team TT. This year, Berkeley was rescheduled to an earlier date after the Canada series was published and people had signed up. Velodiva and I are racing the Berkeley TTT on Sunday but still doing the Canada TT next weekend because it is a blast and our friends are riding in it.
Last year, we had an OLH hill climb event which has been replaced with a TT event at the Velodrome. Yes, you get to ride your road bike on the Velodrome. How cool is that?
Do not worry about how you are going to do or if you are good enough. Remember the first time you enter an event, you are guaranteed a personal best.;) Any race that does not meet your result expectation is a training ride.;) Good luck and have fun. Velodiva and I will be on our tandem on our trainer warming up before our start. Stop by and say hello.:)

It should be awesome.
I will be doing a little "test and tune" myself.
This event I am doing Merckx (no aero stuff).
Next event I am going to use wheelbuilders.com "disc" wheel covers, a set of vision tech mini aero bars and my old school LeMond era aero helmet (circa 1992).

Actually I plan on getting these bars now (see pic).
They clamp to the stem, and are adjustable to as short as 170mm.
Supposedly, you can only clamp them to the Profile stem, but the design suggests that as long as the stem is round, it will be ok. I have a Thomson, and it's round.

OK... So it looks like we have a BF ride meeting up at Caņada and 92 at 1 PM to leave around 1:15-1:20.
I still plan on doing the TT prior to the ride.
If there are any TT'ers who also want to do the BF ride to Foothill College for the memorial ride I would be happy to grab lunch with you in Woodside to kill the couple hours in between. The TT will pretty much be done by 11 leaving a perfect couple of hours to grab a sandwich in Woodside, then head back up towards 92.
