Mountain Biking - Trek Liquid 25 - selling

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I've had my trek liquid since 2004, but now would like to sell it. The retail price when it came out was about $1,900. Four years later it has a few nicks and scratches but overall is in good condition and rides well. How much do you think that i should list it for and where (ebay, craigslist, or elsewhere?)
thanks!

The best way to find the value is to search ebay for completed listings. That will let you know what people are willing to pay for your bike.

Yeah, that sounds about right, maybe $650-750. There's no Kelly Blue Book for bikes unfortunately so its hard to say. I say throw it up on eBay...you'll basically get the price that others are willing to pay for it, or you can put it on craigslist at a touch higher than you expect and see what people offer you.
Make sure you use tons of pictures and details about the bike. Size is most important. Also give it a good cleaning and tuning if potential buyers come to look at it. When was the last time it had shock/fork rebuild/maintenance? That would be the first thing I would ask about if I was shopping for a used full suspension. Also, when was the last time the brakes were bled? How far along are the chain/cassette in their lifespan?
