I'm moving to Cheboygan, Michigan this summer. Anyone know of good bike shops up there? I'm looking at either getting a Santa Cruz Blur or Trek Fuel EX 9 before I get there and local authorized dealer support is one of my deciding factors. Thanks!

A lot of mountain bikes up around Cheboygan/Bois Blanc Island, must be coming from somewhere.
There's a specialized dealer in Petoskey (High Gear, general sports store)

I live about an hour away in Boyne City (pretty close for Northern Michigan).

My favorite shop is Latitude 45 in Petoskey great people with great service, they happen to be your closes Santa Cruz dealer. I also like high gear which is also in Petoskey as mentioned they are a Specialized dealer. They do have a good staff however the owner is very opinionated and a bit old school (he has a problem with modern technology and will try to talk you out of stuff you may want). Petoskey is about a half hour from Cheboygan.

For the Trek hear in Boyne City there is North Country Cycle. The owner is very knowledgeable and nice. there selection is small but they will order stuff for you. I think there is also A Trek dealer in Harbor Springs which is a little closer but I haver no experience with them. Boyne City is about an hour drive and Harbor Springs around 30 Minutes.

So why are you moving from HI to MI do you know we get an average of 150 inches of snow a year. I hope you ski to pass the time between cycling seasons.:D

Yes! I gave them a call and they stock the Blur xcr in S,M,and L.

You will like Norhthern Michigan it is a great place to ride, Just bring a coat. :D
