I am in the middle of a major remodel of an older Kuwahara Tandem. I am removing some of the brake hardware [cantilever hardware, cable stops, etc]. I am also going to add a lower brake bridge to install a dual pivot Campy brake for the rear and a front braze on mount for the derailleur. With all this, I was wondering what you you add. There are 4 water bottle mounts, a tire pump mounting hardware, down tube shifter mounts, and all the cable routing stops on there now.
Just wondering, since I am new to this kind of biking, if there is anything else that should be installed before it gets to the painting booth. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I don't know the Kuwahara frame but if it dosent have any, and you ever plan any touring or Rail Trail rides, it might be a good time to think about fender and rack mounting tabs where appropriate.

A dual spoke carrier braze-on underneath the boob tube to carry 2 spare spokes 'just in case'.
We also have a braze-on on the stoker's adjustable stoker stem for our mini-garage door opener.
Also have cable guides for our wired computer on our right fork blade.
While these things are not 'necessary' they're sure handy!
Pedal on TWOgether!

If you want to move the gear controls from the downtube to bar ends or brifters, might want to add stops for the cable housings.

Might want to add a tab for a drag/drum brake at the rear.
