Y'know, last year I got more flats than I can even remember -- mostly on club rides to boot.
So what are y'all using for tires in the greater NYC area? Is there a magic tire that is fast and puncture-resistant? I rarely say this but.... Money is no object.
I have Gatorskins on my 700c wheels. Got a flat within the first hour (glass). On my 27" wheels they were great though - never a flat (1,000 miles) so I may have just hit the wrong spot.
I have Specialized Armadillos on my mtb. Got a tack through it also on the first ride (year ago someone spread tacks all over the West side bike path around 135th St). Never anything since.
I am thinking about those slime liners for the road bike though, was surprised how easily the glass sliced through it.

Conti gatorskins are tough, but you won't mistake them for Pro 2 Race. I have Gatorskins on my fg and Pro 2 Race on my roadie.
Ever consider slime filled tubulars?

Mr. Tuffy works great. I never had a single flat with them installed in my commuter. I use Pro2 Race on my other bikes without much problems. I don't use them near as often as the commuter though.
