Brand new to tandems. Haven't owned one yet. Is $800 a good price for this bike, if it fits, is in good shape, etc?
thanks in advance

I have a 2006 Burley Rock & Roll soft ride and paid $2600 new. The wife loved the beam but Burleys tent to be a little flexy IMO. Best thing to do is get a good test ride in with your stoker if possible.
Its a good deal if it fits and your stoker likes the beam. Especially considering that the beams are no longer available. my stoker likes ours. We had demo'd a few tandems, but when we got to the softride samba, we found the one she really liked. Some like the beam, others don't like the inherent lateral flex in turns. We don't ride fast, and haven't found it an issue for us. She does get some pogo'ing during climbs. Again, if you can, you and your stoker should test it out. The price is good considering that the beam bikes were $300 more than the standard models.
The beam alone is worth $300. If it fits, and you like the test ride BUY it!
