Introductions - Hi From MN

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Howdy,
I'm 63 and just getting back into old fart biking. My long distance so far is 64 miles in a weekend.
I'm having trouble with broken spokes. Any ideas would be welcome.
I have a Schwinn Sierra 700 Hybred bike and have broken 3 spokes in about 3 months of low stress use.
Howdy and thanks for any helpfull ideas...

Hi, welcome to the forums.
Repeated broken spokes are normally due to a badly built wheel. If you've just been replacing the broken spokes, I'd recommend taking the wheels to a good bikeshop who has someone who can re-true your wheels by hand.
