....on behalf of bicyclists. The only problem is that she's asked me for "clever" short announcements and I'm not creative at all! These need to be 4 - 5 seconds in length! Anyone adept at clever, catchy wording for this type of thing?
Please help and post 'em if you got 'em!
Thanks!

Bicycles.
They're what's for transportation.
Yeah, I know. I'm not very good with this sort of thing, either.:o
Find a parking space today?
Thank a bicyclist!
Are you still able to buy gasoline? Thank a bicyclist.
(Alternate with PaulH's suggestion, above.)
1. When driving, remove the phone from your ear, slow down, turn the dial to NPR, and enjoy the ride.
2. Please be considerate behind the wheel. Share the road with bicyclists and pedestrians. It's the law.
3. When in doubt. Yield to bicyclists and pedestrians. Imagine that it was your kid out there.

These are all good! Keep 'em coming. I'll let their people choose which to use.

Try not to hit cyclists. They'll ruin your paint job.

Give cyclists some space because fender benders are easy to fix good as new, but a human body can't always heal from being broken, black and blue.
That cyclist? He's Annie's dad. Don't make her sad.

I'm a cyclist, and I"ll be seeing you on the road. I'll be looking for you, will you be looking out for me? Thanks!
All drivers have the responsibility to pass slower vehicles with due care- even if that vehicle is a bicycle.
While driving, you may encounter emergency vehicles, road construction or slow moving vehicles. Start your trip with extra time to allow for delays. It will make your trip more pleasant!
News Flash! You do NOT actually own the road! It is a PUBLIC road, to be shared with many types of vehicles: Cars, trucks, motorcycles, bicycles and busses. Thank you, that is all.
Nationally, 22% of all highway funds come from sales taxes, property taxes and your local government's general funds. That means that even folks without cars are paying for the PUBLIC roads. You should thank them!
Dogs love to chase! They love to chase cyclists too. But dogs who chase cyclists will often run into the street and into danger. It is for your dogs own good to restrain him.
When parking on the street, check for cyclists before opening your door. It's the law, and it could save someone's life.
Excuse me, did you know that it is OK not to answer your cell phone? You will have plenty of time to return the call after you park. Doesn't that person deserve your full attention anyway?

The Central Connecticut Bicycle Alliance has some PSAs that they've posted on their website (http://www.wecyclect.org) (scroll down), which you could adapt for your local use. I'm sure they'd give you permission to use them.
