The local AYSO Santa Ynez soccer organization had their Winter Classic tournament rained out about 5 weeks ago. Its is rescheduled for this weekend, (same weekend as the Solvang century). For my son's division there are 12 teams and that is just the Boys U14 division. There are going to be a bunch of teams up in the Santa Ynez area and quite a few are local teams (Atascadero, SLO, etc). The local teams will be driving back and forth from Santa Ynez and the Central CA area.
So just be extra careful out there, you'll be encountering lots of soccer moms and dads who perhaps don't have much experience around large groups of bike riders (shouldn't matter.....).
The tournament is primarily in Santa Ynez, but our team is staying in Lompoc. I understand there is also a golf tournament this weekend too.
