Hi!
I would be grateful for any advice reagerding frame sizing.
I have just purchased a 57cm litespeed vortex from my local bike shop (which I had to order the frame in and build up the bike hence I was unable to test ride different sizes).
My worry is that the frame size may be one size too large. I previously rode a Trek 5200 56cm (T/T 56cm)which was a good fit. I am 5'10'' of average build.
My litespeed now has a 100mm stem with 1cm of headtube spacers inserted, and there is about 3inches of seatpost showing. This position equates to my previous Trek position.
Should I have gone for a 55cm vortex (standard road geometry) and benefitted from a smaller lighter frame but with more headtube spacers and more seatpost showing (as trends dictate).
As the bike is more than £4000 I am obviously keen to get it right!
I would appreciate any advice particularly from litespeed owners.
Toby

FWIW: My Trek 5000 OCLV 54cm frame is 6-7mm shorter in the seat tube than my 54cm '00 Vortex frame seat tube. (The 5000 OCLV differed only in the ancillary equipment from the 5200 that year, but is a different frame from the current yr frames as are all OCLV frames). Measured from center BB bolt to top of seat tube clamp. I am 66" tall but all my racing aspirations ended 20yrs ago. Steve

I'm 5'6", ride a LS Classic 55cm (C-T). If the Vortex dimensions are similar at all, particularly along the TT, I think a 55 would be awfully small.
