Cool. I think it is stupid they (Albes) say the seat only works with the company's seat post.

all the pivotal seat post are made by one company and sold to 2nd companies like alienation macneil animal, ect but they all have their logos on it

Nope.Really now? I always thought Macneil sold their licensing rights to other companies who also reproduce "similarly-designed" posts.

For all of those who don't know, Macneil was not the first with the idea/technology.

This is what the deal is. Lots of companies are making pivotal seats and posts. Brand A's seat will work just fine with brand Q's post as long as they are both Pivotal compatible. If you have a seat with rails now, you will need a new seat AND post to use a Macneil type seat.
