Been reading these forums for some time but never posted.
Need some help posting a pic.
Thanks
PS: Used the search engine and only get one reply to my question. (posting pictures attachment)
Posting a picture- do not use the "quick reply" at the bottom of the screen- hit the reply button at the bottom of the post you're wishing to respond to.
When the text box pops up for you to write your response, notice on the bottom left side, you'll see "Options", then "Thread Subscription", then underneath that, "Attach files". Click on the "Manage Attachments" option to the right of the "Attach Files". When you click on "Manage Attachments", you'll see a "Browse" button. Click on that to get to the file or picture you want to put in your post. Be sure that the file extension is one of the following, or it won't be added to the post: bmp doc gif jpe jpeg jpg pdf png psd txt zip. I also think whichever file you add must be less than 100kb, or it will not attach either. Finally, when you've selected your file, then click the button called "Add this File". You'll see the hourglass on the screen, and as soon as it disappears, click on the "All done". Finally, you'll be back to your original post, and you just need to hit the "submit reply" button, and you'll see your picture or whichever attachment you've put up there.
PM me if you have any additional problems or questions.

And with this new version, you can type your text in the quick reply and then click on "go advanced". Your text will be carried into the window Coffee describes and then you can attach the picture from there.
The manage attachments feature only works for files on your computer.
You can also click on the "Insert Image" icon for files on your computer or on-line.

How does one go about posting a picture that consumes too many bytes? Some picutures have to be cropped to be downloaded? Anyone had that problem.? I do not know how to solve it...

I can't get the Insert Image button to work. Sometimes the Script Prompt window will come up, but most the time when I press the Insert Image button it just adds the - tags. No matter what I do (and I followed everyone's directions) I can't get a photo to appear. I can get a photo to appear with the Manage Attachment link, but not with the Insert Image button. Any suggestions??
The inpormation that you insert between and must be a web link.
Like this http://www.litespeed.com/images/small_bikes/vortex_sm.jpg , without the spaces. This link will display a gorgeous bike. :D

Thanks RonH for your help. One last question: In an earlier post you stated that "You can also click on the 'Insert Image' icon for files on your computer..." Or must it be a web link only?
Thanks again,
Dan
My mistake. When using the "Insert Image" icon, you are linking to an online picture.
When using the "Manage Attachments" feature, you are linking to a picture on your computer. It must be smaller than 100k.

Okay, now I have a problem posting a picture whereas before I had no problem.
When I attach a picture and then click 'All Done', the browser closes! What the heck?
Any advise will be appreciated. I hate arguing with inanimate objects.
Are you clicking on the "Add This File" button first? If you don't and just click on "All Done" then you haven't attached that file.
So here's the routine:
Click on "Browse" to find the picture.
Then click on "Add This File".
Then click on "All Done" after the picture is added to the list.
