I'm gonna ride up Angeles Crest past Newcombs to Cloudburst this Saturday. I'm Starting in Glendale at 7:30 ish and plan to meet friends and leave the Shell Station at Foothill and AC at 8:30. From where I'm starting ,on Glenoaks east of Brand, it's 80 miles and 8k+. It's out and back so all don't have to do the whole ride. The weather looks ok with a forecast high in the 50's and sunny if you trust those buggers.

How long from the Shell to Clear Creek do you estimate Bob? I may take Tujunga Cyn. to AF and meet you at Clear Creek.

I was thinking about Upper BT and joining Bob at Red Box. Have to think on that some more. Haven't done that route.

Just confirming that I'll be there, planning to leave the Shell Station a little earlier than 8:30 and you all will catch me on the way to Clear Creek. Looking forward to it - it's going to be a beautiful day!

Too bad none of us brought a camera, it was beautiful up there! Warm, sunny, snow piled up along the road, and an amazing view of Baldy in the distance. VB, Sarah,Cathy, Christy, Laura, Renee, Stan, Andy, and Gene was up there somewhere.

VB, Sarah,Cathy, Christy, Laura, Renee, Stan, Andy, and Gene was up there somewhere. Too bad you didn't go up to Cloudburst, it was even better up there. A little chilly and huge piles of snow. What a great day with a great group. I had 80 miles with 9k+. Stan rode from home and had more.
