Mountain Biking - 4x

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Anybody have any links to a four-cross dedicated website? Google's only coming up with ARC and unrelated crap. Also, I (kind of) know what 4x is, I just enjoy reading about stuff like that.

There're no 4X courses in the southeast that I know of. It's all DS. Which is cool, because DS is the best.

But you can push people over "accidently" in 4X.
what exactly is 4x, I have a clue, but I want to make sure I'm right.

Four cross is basically BMX racing with MTB's. Slightly different track layout. Four riders start at a time.
I figured it was like BMX.
So it's like the little area at thomson with all the banked turns and big dirt ramps.
Didn't know the 4 ride rule though.

You had better start a 4x vs DS thread to determine that for sure.
I've got my first 4x race of the season coming up on the 16th...it's on snow so it's even more fun!

And if a course marshall sees you "accidently pushing people over in 4X, you get disqualified.

How is it lame when it is in the rules that if you purposely take a person out, you get disqualified? By taking people out, you are putting them in even more danger as it is. If you do get caught purposely taking people out in races, it will put a black mark on your resume if you ever decide to take it seriously and get sponsored, there would be a really good chance you won't get sponsored. No company would sponsor a rider who races dirty, it would give them a bad image. In races you need to carry yourself in a professional matter, and by racing dirty, it will only prove that you are not a good sportsman and very unprofessional. So racing clean will only help you in the long run.
Oh wait, it's probably because you have no clue in regards to racing.

You guys take life (everything) to seriously.
I would never purposely make someone crash in a race of any form.

I need someone who can handle me gently.
People taking out others sucks.
When I BMX'd some kid tried to take me out and we both ended up eating it.
It sucks, and its annoying

Heh? How'd I back track? I was never serious in the post in which I talked about making people crash. I never realized some people would take it seriously, so I posted again to clarify things.
Am I that hateable?
