I've ordered twice from Cadence Cycle.

First order went through smoothly. Absolutely no problems! :)

Second order is not going too well at the moment. I ordered the latest 2008 version of a pump, and they confirmed that I would be receiving the 2008 version. I received the pump yesterday, but it appeared to be an earlier version!? Also, there was another problem in that the pump nozzle was quite difficult to remove from valves after pumping!!

I checked with the local distributor regarding the appearance of the new 2008 version. They emailed me a photo, and the pump I received did NOT match the pump in the photo!

I emailed Cadence Cycle and submitted copies of parts of the photo to my claim that the pump I received was not the 2008 version. I requested either a replacement 2008 version pump (as originally ordered), or a refund. A brief emailed response from them indicated that they did all that they could!? What!?

I've sent another email to them. We'll see if they respond.

Apparently Cadence had "special ordered" the 2008 version of the pump. I'm also an international customer.

I understood that items could be returned (as long there was an accompanying letter with the items outlining reasons for returns)!? So why they appear to be difficult is not clear?

I checked with the BBB, but Cadence wasn't listed. So Cadence are, presumably or supposedly, a reasonable company.

Anyone had dealings with them before? Any problems?

Thanks for the comment.

But John (Jon?) was/is the person responding to my emails!

Received a reply from Jon and they would now accept a refund as they had discovered I had indeed received an earlier version of the pump. The latest (2008) version is not yet available, apparently.

Decided to keep the pump and change out the nozzle for something which should be better (hopefully).

Done!

Glad that worked out for you. Oftentimes, companies that do the right thing don't get the press they deserve.
