Mountain Biking - Came across and acquired this frame. Anyone know anything?

I ran into this chap the other month who was getting shipped out of town. He was looking to get rid of one of his MTB frames and since I used to race lots he offered it to me.

It appears to be a spanish company.

Xclusive G-Nesis.

Its super light... I've been out of the scene for about 2 years now (due to constant bone fracturing) so I figured I'd see what anyone has heard about it.

I'll prolly build it up with all my "old" components. It'll be full XTR and AVID Speed Dial 9's. Manitou Mars Elite front fork (w/ lockout).

It might be small... we'll see tho.

Used to race MTB religiously.

Did things like... 24hrs of adrenalin BEFORE it started to suck ass.
As well as plenty of local series' and individual races.

Took my buddies out in July of 2005 Did a downhill section I had done dozens of times... lost it. Bad.

Collapsed a lung (which worked out good for me)
Fractured my clavicle and had it slide into my chest cavity (missing my newly collapsed lung) and it was my right one so it didn't get to my heart.
Separated my Sacral Ischial joint (where your spine connects to your hips essentially)

Taco'd the front wheel and bent my top tube and downtube forward about 15 degrees.

2001 Marin Juniper Trail... ruined.

Now my collarbone is on like a hair trigger and everytime I do anything it breaks.

Broke it again in November of 2006 playing touch football. Not even being stupid.

This is my first road racing season back since the original break.

I saw what some peeps on google said. I was just curious if anyone had ridden or seen any floating around. Its pretty sick light thats for serious.

Isn't a broken bone supposed to heal stronger? If your bone is breaking that easy, maybe you've got something else going on....?

Make sure you post shots when your done building that too.

You just have to realize that a large number of people here ride Specialized Hardrocks, or Trek or Gary Fisher Whatchamacallits. It's kind of like asking "Wow, anyone here ridden a Sintesi Black Soul? Whaddaya think of it? How's it compare to the Rumba?"

Correct... they do heal "stronger" however clavicles are not set per se. So there is no way to cast it. Therefore, it is up to you to have good enough posture to allow it to heal properly. But I don't really know anyone whose broken their clavy and had it heal "properly" without the mess of shoulder surgery.

So therefore, my collarbone is no longer straight, it has a kink in it which gives it a significant weak point.

Think of it if you took a ruler and stood it up perfectly vertical and tried to push it into the table. Very difficult. Then bend the ruler by 5 degrees. Watch it fold in half every single time.

I'll for sure get pics when I build it up. All my MTB parts are home in NY. Frame is with me in ND. It'll be built by mid - late may. You'll all be apprised of it.

I had about a 1"' section turn 90° to the rest of it in my break and it healed that way;so now it has this glob of bone with a point sticking up. The only way to correct it would have been surgery to break it all apart and realign stuff. No thanks.

Hahahaha I have the same thing... It would be sweet to shoulder charge someone in a fight.

When I broke mine the second time, I asked my doctor if I could just have it surgically replaced with a titanium one.

He told me to get the hell out of his office (buddies).

The thing with the damn surgery is... you'll correct the bone, but you cause so much muscular catastrophe in the wake of it. So its like a lose lose situation.

Not to mention its the second most painful fracture one can get, and the most fractured bone in the body.
