Does anybody have opinions (read: experience) one way or the other on the two forks above? I'm trying to minimize both chatter/squeal as well as weight while staying with the braun of an aluminum steerer tube.

The Winwood weighs 558g vs the Ritchey's 685g so about 4 oz lighter. Not a big deal but if the 2 forks are about the same I'd opt for the Winwood. The Ritchey is heavier because of an aluminum crown vs the carbon crown on the Winwood so I'm guessing it will be stiffer.

Thx.

My opinion is Ritchey, but no experience with Winwood products. If you are truly trying to be rid of chatter then carbon is not your answer.

So you think every carbon fork will chatter?

any fork will chatter if your brakes aren't set up properly.
