NEW YORK (CNN) -- Authorities are searching for a man on a bicycle as a possible suspect in the Thursday bombing at a military recruiting station in Times Square, investigators said.
art.expl.presser.cnn.jpg

New York Police Commissioner Ray Kelly displays an ammunition box similar to the one used in the bombing.
The blast, around 3:45 a.m., caused no injuries, officials said.

A witness and an officer at a police substation just steps away from the recruiting office saw a man riding a bicycle, Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said at a news conference. (http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/03/06/times.square/index.html)

Yep despite all the cars around, they are apparently targeting a man on a bicycle wearing a backpack. No doubt that is the "hippie type" riding around on their bicycle. Apparently, he must have had a rapid access backpack so he could reach around, take out an ammo box LOADED with explosives and hurl it at a recruiting station while maintaining his balance and avoiding hitting cars.

Good work NYPDumb. Those of you wearing Camelbaks, watch out. The boys in blue are after you.

I'm pretty sure Orenthal saw the real killer out on the 17th at Pebble Beach. Or maybe in a Vegas jail.

A man on a bike with a backpack in NYC.... hmm might as well be a person wearing a bathing suit at the beach.

Im sure the mayor will now demand total London-style surveillance for NYC and
the sheep will give it to him.

What is exactly is London-style surveillance?

Surveillance cameras spying on every square inch of the area

Here's some info on it:

It's either cameras or satellites. Big Brother is always watching. No big deal.

HOMERUNS!

DINGERS!!!

Anyways, on a paranoid android note... did you know that wearing a tinfoil hat will actually protect you from being detected on thermal imagery being captured by satellites? It has to do with the different rates that the molecules of metals and organics heat up or something... or something. LET'S SEE SOME DINGERS!

If you want a real news flash... not many people know this.

There is technology in satellites right now that can focus on the vibrations of the window of your house and listen to any conversation you have. Some people know this. What they don't know is that it was successfully tested in the late 1970's.

I don't think we should be too concerned with some imaging cameras.

I'm putting on my tin hat. :-)

satellite technology is pretty much super cool. if it isn't big brother watching, someone definitely is.

It's just too bad that there is not a such thing as the magic Photoshop that TV CSIs seem to have - - that can take grainy surveillance video captures and turn them into high-res, suitable-for-framing wall posters.

CSI does not stretch the truth only with photos. They make it look like getting DNA and comparing it to other samples takes about a half an hour. MUCH much longer than that. And nobody works in dark labs. I can't watch those shows anymore, way too ridiculous.

"NEW YORK (CNN) -- Security camera footage shows a person approach a Times Square military recruiting office and ride away on a bicycle shortly before a bomb damaged the building Thursday morning. Security video shows a bicyclist approach a Times Square recruiting station moments before a bomb went off. Authorities consider the bicyclist a possible suspect in the bombing, which occurred about 3:45 a.m. and caused no injuries.

The video, shown by Police Commissioner Ray Kelly, shows the person approach the station on the bicycle, get off and walk up a metal ramp to the door. After about a minute, the person returns to the bike and rides away. Less than two minutes later, a bright flash and a cloud of white smoke signal the explosion."

Gee OP, whaddya know? Contrary to your conjecture, from the video capture it sure appears as though the bicyclist is a suspect after all as reported earlier in the day by people who were actually there seeing the incident occur.

Any more informative insights to report? Possible conspiracy theories? Maybe a doping angle on the bicyclist suspect?

While the surface area of the head is smaller, it also has very high blood flow, with much less insulation, altering the comparison of torso to head.
While I don't doubt that my figure was incorrect, If you don't lose any heat through your head, someone may want to tell that to the arctic survival training instructors in the military.

False. Read the link that I posted and do some more research if you still don't get it. Google is your friend.

Straw man argument. Nobody has made that claim.
