For those of you who want more mileage on a supported tour plus tough mountain roads to climb!!!
Consider the Colorado Rocky Mountain Bike Tour.. first week in August... limit: 500 bicyclists This year's route out does the BTC by far... and is a great alternative if you didn't get selected for RTR!!!

I like it. I like it a lot. Perfect number of people, aggressive mileage and awesome route. There are good bonuses too ...like the overnight at Glenwood that's good for a hot springs soaking in mineral rich sulphur and the 4 day option that would drop me at my home town.

I liked it so much after I did a little research that I pulled the trigger on the 4 day event. It doesn't interfere with my race sched and I'm all set with an RV and a driver/cook too.

This is the second annual CRMBT ride. The ride is capped at 500. The first one last year had 35 people total. Talk about intimate. The 5th day is a rest day -perfect for a little hometown tour up and over Loveland Pass.

Here's hoping for good weather and as many of you who will join up too.

Any idea how many have signed up so far?

no idea - easy to find out though. Email Peter Duffy (organizer) peter.duffy1@comcast.net

I'd be really shocked if the event went from 35 to 500 in just one year. Just a guess - I'd say that it'll end up between 50 - 150 riders.

Well, 52 - 152. We're in too! ;)
