Hi there. I was wondering if anyone who has Speedplay Zero pedals could give me some feedback on them. I'd especially like to know if you ever feel you're going to pull out of them (how's the release tension). Thanks!

I have them they are great!! I have had them for about 3 weeks and I have never ever felt like I was going to pull out of them. I have done the hard tests with them ... sprinting climbing hard ect... and nothing! they just feel great. I like the ability to adjust the float on them.
One thing that is funny is that they are so easy to unclip out of that you would think that I would pull out of them but never has happened.
Good luck!

Ms. Velo.......there is no release tension. When you twist your foot far enough, you'll click out. Great pedals...... I've been using them since they were first introduced waaaay back.

I have been riding Zero's for 6 months and 3000+ miles. They are great. I have never unclipped once by accident even on long mountain pulls. The only problen that I have experienced is that the base plate mounting screws will loosen over time. I have had to recoat them with Loctite to remedy this. They are still the most secure feeling pedal that I have ever used. get them and enjoy!

The knocks I've read about them on roadbikereview.com have been about the mounting screws (as mentioned above) and early wearing of not just the cleat but the pedal itself. I was ready to order a pair but decided to stick with my Looks.
