Anyone know where to buy painted chains? I was thinking about doing it myself, but I hear it doesn't last very long, is there a place to buy pre-painted chains in either 1/8" or 3/32"?

same idea as the links above... not painted per se, but anodized (ie, better than just rattlecanning your chain :))

KMC is a really common brand and any LBS should be able to get them for you(no shipping cost).I got mine(red and white) in 4 days for $8 a piece.

I ordered a pink KMC chain from, I believe, the bike biz. When I got it I was excited. It wasn't magenta at all, it was a really dark pink that matched my soma decals.

There was also a healthy thread about painting chains (it may have been about green chains) started by yours truly.
I think we had determined the best way to save the ~ $95 everyone wanted for a green chain was to paint it by submerging the entire chain in melted wax leaving only the part desired to be painted exposed. Let the wax harden... paint away. Let it dry, and repeat for the other side or whatever.
I just ended up changing my "color scheme" and have a red KMC. Looks neato.
No im not a hipster.
Im a poser.
