Mountain Biking - Can it be fixed?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I had a rather spectacular crash yesterday and survived it with no injuries, looked bad though. Problem is that during the crasc I nicked the aluminium stanchions on the fork. I did not realize it until I saw the oil leak at the seal. I have an '02 Marzocchi Z1FR and was wondering if this can be repaired and if so who can do it, or will I just need another fork? Is this a common problem? It just seemed so easy to do this and I don't want this to happen again especially if it's an expensive repair. :(

Time for it to be sent in for warranty if they will cover it.
They won't cover it under warranty. But they will fix it for you for a fee. It'll cost less to fix it than it will to buy a new fork.
Go to your LBS and have it taken care of.

Well, it's a good thing YOU didn't break anything. Hope you get your bike back in order. How did the crash happen?
