It's all too much here.;
32 degrees c - maybe mid 80s F.
Yesterday morning I was out with the fast group for a couple of hours, and managed to hang with them for about 50 kilometers. Then started with the 'all-comers, no-one gets dropped' group that I started last year - and we did 50kms, all together, and practising good pace line behaviour, with the wind behind us outbound at about 30kph, and back into the wind at maybe 18 or so. Then apple pie and coffee, and 10 k back home in a spirit of 'fast, but if the person behind you is more than 100 metres back, go soft' - we ended puffing and panting and laughing. A young Bahraini woman who's been riding for only a year led us all in.
Oh, and the Bahrain cycling team got gold medals in the GCC cycling races in Abu Dhabi - lads that sometimes we get overtaken by.
And the soft group is growing to 25 people from 5 last year. It's all too much
