Southern California - PHO Ride Photos

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Ok.
Wait.
The single/double/triple/quadruple entendres have lost me. Are you talking balls as in testicles? Or have I just been watching far too much Fear Factor?

Huh? What are you talking about?

I didn't go on the Pho ride, but I think those really are beef balls. You can get them at Ranch 99. Chinese eats them too (mostly during hot-pot).
Chicken, veggie and hard boiled egg... that seems like a pretty weird combo. Soup-based noodle topped with teriyaki chicken or a large fried chicken leg... I think that would be better... More Japanese'ish/HK'ish though. :D

We seem to have a food theme here lately ... one thing I've never done is a dim sum ride. That probably is not a good mix ... oh well.

Did someone say " Dim Sum" ...now you are talking my kinda language. :)
Dim Sum can be light ...as long as you can hold back from order too many plates.
If any of you guys are serious I can help. B/c one thing for sure....Dim Sum is a very popular thing to do as Asian[Chinese, Sino-etc] and waiting for a table can take up to an hour if you dont have the "connection".
Just my two cents.

im 99.9% sure they were not Rocky Mountain Oysters, they are just a form of meatballs, like the ones you eat with spaghetti and red sauce, only azn influenced

Why, do you have connections? I'd be all for it ... heck, I'd drive 350 miles for that ...:eek:

My parents and I usually spent most of our wkend doing Dim Sum.
Where would you like to go?
if you want some suggestions....I would recommend stay in the area of Monterey Park. The food are better and more delicacies.
But there is also a place near Alhambra [close enough for good hills riding in the Montrose, Baldy, etc...]that we go often.
Just give me call/PM when you are in town, Ron.

Usually when I come to visit dad, and we decide to go dim sum, we usually go to either NBC Seafood Restaurant, Sam Woo Seafood Restaurant (although I think it changed names, so I don't know what the new name is), and Harbor Seafood (again, the name may have changed).
Monterey Park ... so a hill ride, eh? Like Graves (between Alhambra and Garfield ...)
