Hello all. I posted on the introduction forum and was refered over here. I'm about to get a new bike and lready I have gotten responses from a lot of members here. but, if some of you 200lb+ bikers can take a look at this bike and tell me if its a good size and model for me, that would be great. I'm 6'1 215lbs. having a hard time finding a bike that fits. Thanks. :)

Yep, that would be a nice bike for you, I am pretty sure.

Convertible to a road or path worthy bike by changing the tires over to slicks if you want, and no suspension to break or suck up pedaling power :D

Think about some bar ends or ergo grips though to get more hand positions for comfort. :D

That bike would probably be fine for you. You won't have any problem with your size versus the strength of the bike or anything like that and the upright riding position is a matter of choice. Whether or not it's a good bike for you will depend on how you want to ride. If you are going to do a lot of road riding you might want to look for more conventional road or touring bikes, but if you are getting back into it and deciding what you want to do, I'd go for it. Giant is a decent name and from what you can tell from the ad the components are not bad.

Welcome and good luck. If you want to post back more about your situation, riding preferences, etc. I am sure you would get lots of good advice.

That looks like a pretty nice bike. I use my old MTB for a winter bike. Its a blast.

I'll put it this way: If it were in my neighborhood, you'd have to outrun me to get it. Looks like a nice bike for the price given the component level.
