You must not have looked very hard. Every convenience store or grocery store has beer, just like the rest of the planet. And plenty of bars and clubs. Several very good microbrews are made right here, too. You have to go to a liqour store or a private club for the strong stuff, but Salt Lake itself is really cosmopolitan.
