Do hybrid handlebars allow one to go/toggling/switching from more vertical to more horizontal position?

Most hybrids I've seen have more or less flat handlebars, which don't really let you switch positions very much. I personally like the more upright/vertical riding position on my hybrid, despite its aerodynamic disadvantages. I don't enjoy being bent over too far forward. For me, the only problem with the flat handlebars is that my hands stay in the same position all the time, and after a while, they get numb. You can add bar ends that will let you change hand positions--or you can buy "touring bars" that are curved so that you have different hand positions--but the position of your upper body will be about the same.

Those look a LOT better than the ones I used to use. I may have to get some of those!

The ones I have seen look like a stabbing waiting to happen. Or something to hang my purse on when the bike is in the house. I like these and it looks like I can keep my padded palm grips too!
