I'd like to make another request for a separate mid-Atlantic forum.

The current forum structure splits Virginia from DC and Maryland. This is a major inconvenience for the many BF members who live in the greater DC area. Because of the lack of a real "home" DC area threads often find their way into other forums, such as Commuter or Road, or they get double posted between NE and SE.
Culturally, the states around the Chesapeake Bay tend to think of themselves as a region distinct from the north (New York/New Jersey) or south (the Carolinas.)
The consolidated Mid-Atlantic members list is approaching 200. Although this list is not a formal petition, it does represent people who have express an interest in having a separate forum.

I would suggest Virginia, DC, Maryland and Delaware be made into a separate forum. I know that some people around Philadelphia have expressed an interest in being included in a mid-Atlantic forum, but I do not know your policy on splitting states into separate regions.

Thank you for your consideration.

Id suggest asking members in that area to add a short request in their signatures.
Something like "I would have posted this in the Mid-Atlantic forum". By doing that,
Mods can easily see the support and how many posts could have been made in the new
sub-forum. Regional forums only are created if there are enough posts to justify them.
